Would additional Nursing credits increase my salary?

August 19th, 2011

William asks…

Nursing credentials for a new grad student

I am going through Nursing school. After I graduate, I plan on moving out of state back to Georgia. I have been reading about different credentials from AHA( american heart association). My question is whether having credentials  for ACLS( advanced cardiac life support), PALS ( pediatric advanced life support) and BCLS( basic cardiac life support)  would that increase my pay? Will having those credentials put me ahead of other applicants since I would be a new grad and having those credentials? From what I have seen, you do not get these credentials automatically while in nursing school.

I want to have as many credentials that I can possibly have while being a new grad or just about to graduate.
